Gold panning lessons in Tennessee:
When
you join the G.P.A.A., you get the Sure Fire Panning Methods, video. That shows you several great panners that go through and explain their ways of panning. It is a great starting point.
You can
also get gold panning lessons by finding a prospector to go panning with. A lot of us will take new people out, and show you the ropes. Panning isn't hard,,, it just takes a lot of practice. Get on the forums and find someone in your area.
The more you practice gold panning, the faster and better you will get at it.
Gold panning lessons are
also given at our store, in our panning
area. We sell gold ore, that we know has good gold
in it, and will teach you how to pan for gold. Our gold
ore comes in 3 different sizes and prices. Due to
the changing price of gold, please come to the store, or
look at our on line catalog to see the current
prices. You can use our basic pans for free with ore
purchase, or buy, or bring your own pan. We sell a wide
variety of gold pans.
Also, if
you can, you should get a cement mixing tub from Home Depot. They are black, and rectangle shaped - usually in 2 sizes. They make great panning tubs. The larger one is only a few bucks more, and you will find it is worth it to go with the larger one.
Buy some gold dredge concentrates
from someone, or some of our gold ore, and practice with
them at home, and you will get better and better.
When I have concentrates
available, I sell them for $30 to $60 per 3 pound
container. They have good deal of gold in
them.
The gold ore is great for beginners,
because there is a lot less of the black sands that you
get with the dredge concentrates. The dredge concentrates are great
to hone your skills and become a great panner at the
creek. You will have to deal with a lot of black sands
in this area, so it is best to learn the basics before
heading out to the stream without any training or
practice.
What ever you do, have
fun. I just think you will have more fun on your
own, if you have had gold panning lessons before you go
out to the creeks on your own. Gold panning
lessons will save you time, and help you enjoy your
trips panning in the future.
